There seems to be a new kind of virus here in Mexico, it’s influenza and it is much worse than the government it telling us… so I’ll be keeping a journal telling you guys what the government tells us and what I find out or what people tell me… I basically want to keep record of everything that happens.
I may be paranoid on the whole thing but if something really bad happens… I guess knowing what they hid from us would help make some sense out of it.

Before day one (background): I got a call from my Dad telling us not to go anywhere where there might be too much people, he told me his dad in law (he is a very important guy in “Hospital Angeles” he is the “Director” but I can’t remember how to translate that) said there had been a lot of deaths accounted to some sort of new virus.

Day one: 11:00 pm… the Secretary of Heath decides to close schools even though he says it’s “not that serious”. It’s Thursday and we were supposed to have exams that very Friday… they say there have only been twenty confirmed deaths.
Three different people tell me the same thing at different times: “It’s worse than you think… there have not been twenty deaths but more than a thousand; the epidemic is out of control”

Day two: It’s Friday… we can’t go to school but we still have to work on proyects… they start canceling lots of things like the movies… or both football and basketball games… I start doing some research and does too… and find out about some virus called the “Spanish Flu” in 1918… killed 20% of the population at the time and it was Type A subtipe H1N1…
that means it’s the same strain as the current.
The government says the number of deaths rose to sixty. And the International Health Department got involved.

Day Three: Saturday… They confirm school is closed until May 06. Start closing churches and highly recommend not to have any direct contact with humans
health supplies soon start being scarce and some can’t even buy a mouth cover.
It’s all just plain boring now…
oh and some big US doctor said it cannot be contained.



Day four: Sunday… They're thinking about suspending all activity... schools, jobs, you name it..
some sort of Quarantine thing on Mexico.
and I got a mail today saying it's not Influenza but some deadly virus that cannot be stopped but proved to be pure nonsense...
I believe (personal opinion) all we have left to do is pray to God.

Day five: it's Monday and They're just repeating what we already know...
now there are supposed to be six levels of "danger" ... the sixth level is a pandemic... we have reached level four right now and they are seriously thinking about closing borders.
and now the whole effing country is out of school til May 6th.

Day six: now it's Tuesday and people is getting ready for a pandemic. I hear about two or three cases in Spain... I hear it from a friend of mine . She's from Italy, she says there's people from Mexico arriving there and government is being careful about them.

Day seven: well I haven't heard anything new about anything at all... except something about going to stage five out of six or something... uhmmm... yeah I also heard this is all some big hoax and stuff. and that makes me regret this seven days I've been in my house with no human contact whatsoever... uhm yes the hoax thing talked about the G7 group which is a bunch of countries and something about distracting people from this... big... depression

Day eight: Thursday and all I know now is we are on stage five going on six or something... uhmmm
nothing new actually I think the government says it's sort of stabilizing or something so we'll get back to school on May sixth ^^
I'm bored to death right now.
